On the top left hand corner there are 3 icons: the share, the layer setting and the app settings. Click on the middle icon and select the “View edits” menu option.
The “Black & White” parameter represents the amount of filter that will be applied to the image.
If you colour more than the desired object/colour, increase the “Black & White” parameter to 100 and paint back the filter.
The invert will show you how the image will look like when the filter is applied to image.

Make sure your selected color is black because that will let us hide, or paint out, the parts of the layer we want to see color through. White has the opposite effect. Use it to add back to your mask and hide the color areas.
The great thing about this technique is that it doesnit harm your original image. Since all of your changes are on an adjustment layer, the original photo remains untouched.
Once complete apply the brush filter by clicking on the check mark at the bottom left hand corner.
Move the Saturation slider to the left to pull the color out of your image.
If you are not familiar with any of the filters and want the app to edit the photo automatically you can click the “Auto Adjust”.
In the “View edits” window, all your filters will show up on the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Click on the “Black & White” filter and select the middle icon which represents the brush tool for that specific filter.

With your fingers press on the image and move left and right to change the quantity of the filter parameter. To change filters click and hold onto the image and scroll up and down until the desired parameter is highlighted.
Once the desired look is achieved click the check mark located on the bottom right hand corner to apply the filter to the image.

With the Adjustment layer mask still selected, paint where you want the color to show through. If you make a mistake, switch to white to paint back in and hide the color you donit want to see.

Similar to the “Tuning Filter” step, tap on the edit icon and using your finders scroll down to the preset filters and click on the “Black & White” filter on the list.
Black and white or full color photos can be striking on their own, but mixing the two draws your vieweris eye exactly where you want it — and with dramatic effect. Itis actually really simple to create this striking effect in Photoshop without much effort. All you need is a color image.
Choose Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation, and move the Saturation slider as far to the left as it will go to make your color image black and white. Click OK.
Once in the brush settings click the “Invert” button to activate it. Decrease the “Black & White” parameter to 0 and finally activate the mask option to view the mask.
